Suspect In Custody After Search In Palos Verdes, Authorities Say
Police told residents to stay inside, lock their doors and windows overnight in Palos Verdes Estates during a possible armed suspect search.
PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — A reportedly armed suspect was in custody in Palos Verdes Estates early Friday following a late-night search, police said.
The suspect ran away on foot near the area of Palos Verdes Drive North and Via Opata at around midnight, according to the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department.
PVEPD and Redondo Beach police searched the area for the suspect, who was eventually found and taken into custody by 1:30 a.m.

Police reported the suspect was possibly armed and told residents to stay inside and lock all doors and windows. No further information was provided.
The suspect's name was not immediately released.
