Suspected E-Bike Thief Arrested Weeks After Robbery

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Lomita Sheriff's Station deputies arrested a man on Tuesday in connection to an E-bike theft that happened in December. authorities said.

According to the sheriff's department, the station's detectives used resources and information from the victims to track the stolen bicycle. When the location was found, detectives watched the house of a man they believed to be the suspect.

"Lomita detectives monitored the residence until they observed the suspect leave his home with the stolen bicycle," deputies said in a statement.

A uniformed deputy was dispatched to the location of the suspect and he was taken into custody without incident, authorities said. The E-bike was returned to its owner.
