Lieu is expected to be re-elected in the predominately Democratic 33rd District.

PALOS VERDES, CA -- Incumbent first-term Congressman Ted Lieu has canceled appearances at a candidate forum in Palos Verdes this week.

Lieu was expected to debate Republican challenger Kenneth Wright at a Wednesday forum sponsored by the Palos Verdes-Torrance League of Women Voters and the Palos Verdes Chamber of Commerce.

No reason was given for the cancellation. Lieu is expected to be re-elected in the predominately Democratic 33rd District. He won the 2014 election with a nearly 20 percentage point margin.
