Weather Service Issues Warning on Rip Currents
The alarm goes out for south- and southwest-facing beaches in Los Angeles County.
From the city of Rancho Palos Verdes:
The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a Beach Hazards Statement until 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5. for elevated surf and strong rip currents affecting south- and southwest-facing beaches in Los Angeles County.
Please be extra cautious if visiting the city’s beaches to cool off this weekend, and follow the instructions of all public safety personnel and City Recreation & Parks staff.
