Before You Hike: Which Rancho Palos Verdes Trails Are Closed?

Several trails in Rancho Palos Verdes are closed for maintenance and construction, city officials said.

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Several Rancho Palos Verdes trails are closed for maintenance, city officials told Patch.

"Construction work is underway on Vanderlip Trail in the Portuguese Bend Reserve," city officials announced.

Vanderlip and Gary's Gulch Trail will be closed through Dec. 3 to repair Vanderlip Trail.

"Please use caution and oblige by the trail closed signs," officials said.

The following RPV trail areas are closed:

  • Portuguese Bend Reserve: Vanderlip Trail – closed Lower Rim Trail – closed
  • Vicente Bluffs Reserve: Seascape Trail – partial closure
  • Abalone Cove Reserve: Sea Dahlia Trail – closed West Sacred Cove Trail – closed Cave Trail - closed
