Authorities Release ID of 7-Year-Old Boy Struck, Killed in Pasadena

Authorities today released the name of a 7-year-old boy who was struck and killed by a pickup truck at a Pasadena intersection over the weekend.
Aidan Y. Tam of Rowland Heights died at the scene of the accident, which happened about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Hill Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Assistant Coroner Chief Ed Winter said.
"It appears as though the 7-year-old was in the crosswalk ahead of his family," Pasadena police Lt. Vasken Gourdikian said. The boy's parents were walking with him when he was struck, he said.

The pickup truck driver, a 53-year-old Pasadena man, stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to the lieutenant, who said the man showed no signs of being impaired by alcohol or drugs.
