Free Reading of Tennessee Williams' 'Period of Adjustment'

Acclaimed classical repertory theatre company A Noise Within will host a free, one night only reading of Tennessee Williams’ "Period of Adjustment." The reading takes place Dec. 12 in A Noise Within's new state-of-the-art Pasadena theatre.  

Directed by Deborah Strang, this rarely performed play about two couples on Christmas Eve, "Period of Adjustment" is Williams' only comedy. The story focuses on the challenges and difficulties in the relationships of two couples, one newlywed and the other married for five years. 

The play premiered on Broadway in 1960 and was adapted into in a movie in 1962 starring Jane Fonda.
