Man Critically Wounded in Pasadena Shooting

A man in his 20s was critically wounded Monday night in Pasadena, authorities said.

Dispatchers received numerous calls of shots fired in the area of North El Molino Avenue and Rio Grande Street at 7:09 p.m., said Pasadena police Lt. John Luna.

Officers located the gunshot victim in the 1400 block of North El Molino Avenue, Luna said.

He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, the lieutenant said. A suspect description was not available.

El Molino Avenue from north of Washington Boulevard to Howard Street was closed for the investigation, police said.
