Pasadena Marathon Route Map and Information

Here's all the information locals and participants need: route map, road closure info and more.

Sunday is the Pasadena Marathon and for residents in the city, as well as neighboring cities, there are some restrictions on freeways, roads and the Rose Bowl that need to be observed.

And below is the information you need for navigating your Sunday in Pasadena

Freeway Exit Closures:
  • The Seco/Mountain on and off-ramps from the 210 Foothill Freeway (northbound and southbound) will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Additionally, the Orange Grove Blvd. off-ramp from the 134 Freeway (eastbound) will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. All other freeway ramps will remain open on race day.
Road Closures:

The full map of road closures can be found here, but here is a quick summary:
  • Colorado Boulevard will be shut down until 9 a.m.
  • The roads circling around the Rose Bowl will be shut down until 1 p.m.
  • North of the freeway, vehicle traffic can cross the route north-south at Lincoln, Fair Oaks, El Molino and Lake.
  • All roads will be open again by 1 p.m.
Rose Bowl Access:

  • Those who want to use the area for recreational use can use Arroyo Boulevard north of the freeway and park by Brookside Golf Course
  • Those wishing to visit the Brookside Golf Course & Clubhouse should exit the 210  Foothill Freeway at Arroyo/Windsor; proceed southbound on Arroyo Drive and turn right at Rose Bowl Drive.

Overnight Parking
  • Overnight parking restrictions will be lifted in parts of the city nearby the route.  Check if you are in the zone by looking at this map.
