When Hollywood needs a table tennis scene, this couple serves aces (nbcnews.com) — A Pasadena-based couple who run Alpha Productions and local table tennis clubs helped turn Timothée Chalamet into a convincing world-class player for the new film “Marty Supreme.” Working partly out of the Pasadena Table Tennis Club, they choreographed realistic match sequences, coached stars including Chalamet and Tyler, the Creator, and are now back to running their weekday clubs until Hollywood calls again.

From Cincinnati to Pasadena: Drummers prepare for once-in-a-lifetime Rose Bowl Parade honor (wlwt.com) — Pasadena’s famed Rose Parade will soon feature two visiting high school drummers from Greater Cincinnati, marching the five‑mile route through local streets on New Year’s Day. Selected for the Bands of America Honor Band, they’ve spent months preparing to carry heavy percussion gear while performing for millions of viewers in Pasadena and nationwide.
