Updated: Missing 76-Year-Old Woman Found Dead in Traffic Accident

76-year-old Gretchen Leonard, who was reported missing in Pasadena, was found dead in a traffic accident, according to Pasadena Police.

Updated 5:27 p.m: Gretchen Leonard died in a single car collison in the 300 block of Manford Way, according to the Pasadena Police Department.  Her car went over an embankment.

Investigators believe it was a single-car accident, according to the message sent out by police.  She was found in the car she was reported missing in.

Original: Police today asked for the public's help in locating a 76-year-old woman who went missing from Pasadena.

Gretchen Leonard was last seen Friday driving her blue 2007 Lexus IS 250, California license plate number 6LLD553, in the east Pasadena area, according to a statement from Pasadena police.

Leonard is white, about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has short white hair, blue eyes and was wearing brown pants, police said.
