Prosecutors File Murder Charges Against Alleged Pasadena Arsonist
A Pasadena man was charged with two counts of murder for allegedly setting a fire at a boarding home last week that killed two people and seriously injured a third.

Prosecutors filed murder charges Tuesday against a Pasadena man who allegedly set a fire at his local boarding home that killed two men and seriously injured a third.
Garth Allen Robbins, 49, is accused of intentionally setting a blaze at a Pasadena boarding house on El Sereno Avenue in the early hours of Nov. 1. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged Robbins with 19 felony counts Tuesday that included murder, attempted murder and arson counts, according to a news release from the office.
Robbins is being held without bail and prosecutors have not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty in his case, the release states. Robbins allegedly used a "device designed to accelerate the fire," according to prosecutors.
