Zombies Will go Wild at Pasadena's Fall Festivities

Pasadena is about to celebrate Halloween in a big way. The city will host its Fall Festival at Victory Park, coupled with Zombie Time at the library.

The Fall Festival, scheduled for Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., will provide a night of safe, family fun with activities for everyone, including: live entertainment, games, face painting, pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, a big slide, sticky wall and a train ride around the park. 

Of course, delicious food will also be available for purchase.

"We're trying to provide a safe alternative to trick or treating," Recreation Services Specialist Delores Mendoza said. "We also just want to celebrate."

Come in costume and take part in one of several costume contests: the Toddler contest starts at 5:30 p.m. and the youth contest starts at 6 p.m. Teens, adults and seniors can show off their costume-creating skills at 7 p.m.

Admission is free. You can buy tickets for other attractions — a train ride around the park, a big slide and a Haunted House — on-site.

Meanwhile, the Pasadena Public Library is also sponsoring special performances by the Flights of Fantasy Story Theatre, which blends folk tales, fables and rhymes into a frothy brew this Hallows Eve. 

Using a pinch of spookiness, a dash of the scary and just the right dose of laughter, this spine-tingling presentation of interactive storytelling will captivate all ages.
