Coroner Identifies Petaluma Couple Found Dead In Home
Officers were sent to check on the man and wife who not been heard from in over a week, police said.
PETALUMA, CA — A man and woman found dead Saturday in their Petaluma home were identified Thursday by the Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner's Office as Harley King, 66, and Dixie King, 79.
Both Harley and his wife, Dixie, were discovered dead from gunshot wounds shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday when officers went to their residence in the 1200 block of Del Sol Way, Petaluma police Lt. Tim Lyons said.
Officers were sent to check on the couple when Harley's son called police and reported he had not heard from them in over a week, Lyons told Patch.

Their deaths are being investigated as a homicide.
Detectives were still waiting Thursday for autopsy results to determine exactly when and how they died, the lieutenant said.

There are no outstanding suspects or unknown persons sought in connection with their deaths, he said.
"There is no indication that anybody else committed the shooting but we are still trying to figure out how both died between each other," Lyons said.
