DUI Driver Leads Police On 5-Mile Chase In Sonoma County: Authorities
Her blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit, and she had methamphetamine in her vehicle, police said.
PETALUMA, CA — A 60-year-old Sonoma woman with a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit led officers on a five-mile chase in Petaluma, police said.
Kathleen Storrs was charged with evading an officer, drug possession and two counts of driving under the influence, according to police.
Officers responded around 6 p.m. July 31 to a report of a vehicle stopped in the middle of Payran Street, police said. The driver, Storrs, sped away when officers tried to make contact, ignoring red lights, according to police.

She led police on a chase that lasted 15 minutes, with speeds ranging from 3-50 mph, according to authorities, who said a Sonoma County sheriff’s helicopter provided live updates, and officers surrounded Storrs on a dead-end street.
Her blood alcohol content was 0.21 percent and there was methamphetamine in her vehicle, police said, adding she was booked into county jail.
