Excessive Heat Watch Issued For Sonoma County
Temperatures are expected to hit triple digits in parts of Sonoma County this weekend, the National Weather Service said.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch for most of the Bay Area including Sonoma County.
The heat watch will be in effect from 11 a.m. Saturday through 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to warm later this week and hit the 100-degree mark Saturday and Sunday in Petaluma and Rohnert Park among other areas, according to the NWS’ latest forecast.

“The risk for heat related illnesses is increasing,” the NWS said on the agency’s Facebook page.
“Make sure to hydrate and take cooling breaks if you'll be outdoors. Avoid activities during the heat of the day if possible.”
