Missing 80-Year-Old Sonoma County Man Located: Sheriff

BODEGA BAY, CA — A man who was reported missing out of Bodega Bay on Sunday night has been located, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office announced Sunday night.

The Sheriff's Office said that 80-year-old George Ginochio, who had been missing since walking away from his residence, has been found.

Ginochio was last seen at about 8:25 p.m. Sunday in the area of Windy Lane and state Highway 1 in Bodega Bay. He had walked away from his residence, police said.

The Sheriff's Office had sought the public's help in locating Ginochio, who has been diagnosed with dementia.

During the search, the Sheriff's Office had urged anyone who saw Ginochio or had information about his whereabouts to contact the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office Dispatch Center immediately. The Sheriff's Office has not released details on where or when Ginochio was located.
