Coroner IDs Driver Killed In Crash Into Tree-Trimming Truck
Sonoma County authorities have identified a young woman killed near Sebastopol when her car crashed into a parked tree-trimming truck.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — UPDATED: The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a young woman who was killed Monday afternoon in a crash on Occidental Road in unincorporated Sonoma County near Sebastopol as Mallory Parker, 18, of Santa Rosa.
Parker was driving a 1995 Saturn at an unsafe speed west on Occidental Road west of Peachland Avenue around 2:15 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Parker lost control of the Saturn on a sweeping right curve, slid off the north shoulder and struck a parked Ford F-250 tree-trimming company's truck, CHP officials said.

A male employee of the company who was standing nearby was struck by the truck after the Saturn hit it, and the truck then struck the rear of a Chevrolet Silverado, according to the CHP.
The employee suffered major injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, CHP officials said.

ORIGINAL POST, Jan. 14, 2019: The California Highway Patrol responded Monday afternoon to a report of a fatal crash involving a parked tree-trimming truck and a green Saturn in unincorporated Sonoma County northwest of Sebastopol.
The fatal crash was reported at 2:14 p.m. at Occidental Road and Barlow Lane, a Sonoma County fire and emergency center dispatcher said.
Initial reports indicated the Saturn was speeding and spun out into the truck, and an unconscious occupant was trapped inside the Saturn.
