Fire Damages Petaluma Medical Offices

The occupants of at least three medical offices were displaced, Petaluma fire officials say.

PETALUMA, CA — A fire damaged three St. Joseph Health Medical Center offices in Petaluma on Monday morning, fire officials said. The fire at 108 Lynch Creek Way was reported around 8:45 a.m. Firefighters contained the blaze to one unit and two adjacent medical offices sustained smoke and water damage.

The fire started in the attic of the building and the cause is under investigation, according to the fire department.

The offices of an ear, nose and throat doctor and an eye doctor were most affected by the fire, fire officials said.

The occupants of three medical offices were displaced and several other offices will be restricted in their functions until the smoke damage is cleaned, fire officials said.

Firefighters cut holes in the roof of the structure to contain the fire and it was under control at 10 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Crews from Cal Fire and three Petaluma Fire Department stations responded to the fire.

The fire caused $25,000 in damage to the structure of the building and $25,000 to its contents, fire officials said.
