Flood Warning Issued For Russian River In Guerneville
The river is expected to reach flood stage Friday night. Meanwhile, several schools were closed because of campus flooding or blocked roads.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A flood warning was issued Friday for the Russian River in and near the Sonoma County communities of Guerneville, Forestville, and Monte Rio after more than a foot of rain in the last three days.
The National Weather Service expects the river to reach peak flood stage at 33.7 feet Friday night.
The flood warning takes effect at 2 p.m. Friday and continues until further notice.

Flood models show that when the river reaches 33 feet, flooding closes the intersection of state Highway 116 and Drake Road in Guerneville, there is flooding at Willow and Alder streets in Monte Rio, and the Mirabel trailer park in Forestville begins to flood.
Several Schools Flooded, Closed
Seventeen schools were closed Friday because of storm-related impacts from an atmospheric river hitting Sonoma County this week.

School closures were reported in Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol, Forestville, Guerneville, Geyserville, and Monte Rio, to name a few.
In Annapolis, Horicon Elementary School reported downed trees and other storm-related hazards that prevented access to the campus and the school from operating.
The Guerneville School District cited weather and road conditions for students and staff members. Geyserville Unified was anticipating mid-day flooding.
Forestville Union reported persistent rain, road closures, hazards and other obstacles.
Two schools in Piner-Olivet Union in Santa Rosa were closed. Northwest Prep Charter School's campus and surrounding streets were flooded, and local flooding prevented Olivet Elementary Charter School access.

North Bay Road Closures
Caltrans sent a list of North Bay road closures and other storm-related hazards as of 4 p.m. Friday.
Solano County
A storm-related sinkhole repair closed State Highway 220 on Ryer Island between state Highway 84 and Steamboat Slough.
Sonoma County
Flooding closed state Highway 128 in both directions at Wasson Lane. Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes until at least 5 p.m. Friday.
State Highway 128 was also closed in Geyserville in both directions at Railroad/Remmel roads because of flooding. There was no estimated time for reopening the roadway.
Flooding also prompted one-way traffic control on state Highway 1 from Salt Point State Park to Kruse Ranch Road.
Lastly, state Highway 121/state Highway 12 was closed from 8th Street East to state Highway 116 at the new traffic circle roundabout due to flooding.
