Man Robbed, Pistol-Whipped By 3 Petaluma Men: Police

The victim, who suffered head injuries, also said more than $8,000 was stolen from him at an earlier date, police said.

PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police arrested three men Wednesday morning on suspicion of robbing and assaulting a man earlier this month. The victim said three suspects forced their way into his room Jan. 9 at the Best Western Petaluma Inn at 200 S. McDowell Blvd., then pistol-whipped him and stole clothing.

The victim, who suffered head injuries, also said more than $8,000 was stolen from him at an earlier date, police said.

The victim also informed police the same suspects assaulted him with a firearm Jan. 10 while he was sitting in a vehicle in the 100 block of Howard Street. The victim suffered minor injuries in that assault, police said.

An officer was able to identify the suspects in the assaults and police got a warrant to search their home, where they found evidence of the two assaults, police said.

Three outbuildings at the suspects' residence were red-tagged by Petaluma building and code enforcement officials as structurally unsound or for habitability concerns, police said.

The suspects were identified as Bryan East Jr., 34, Troy Manessis, 22, and Mark Williams, 21, all of Petaluma. They were arrested on suspicion of robbery and assault with a deadly weapon and booked into county Jail.
