So…how does it work? Good question! A District Policing model allows us to better serve and engage with our community on an individual level by breaking up Petaluma into 15 smaller neighborhoods that we refer to as “Districts.” Each District is then assigned dedicated Officers who are specialists in your neighborhood and who are available to answer your questions, address your concerns, provide safety resources, and ultimately act as a liaison between the Department and the District.

While we are always out and about in Petaluma, we recognize that no one knows their District quite like the people who actually live there…and that’s why we want to hear from you. Unsure of your district? Check out our interactive map online at Cityofpetaluma.org/map-district-policing where you can find which district you are in, who your district officer is, and even report a crime.
