Impaired driving suspected in the Shoreline Highway crash, CHP said.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – The Marin County Sheriff's Office has identified a passenger who died in a head-on collision with a big-rig in unincorporated Marshall on Monday afternoon as 18-year-old Ricardo DeSantiago.
DeSantiago, a Marshall resident, was riding in a Honda Prelude coupe driven by a 23-year-old Marshall man at 4:38 p.m. in the area of 18863 Shoreline Highway when it collided with a northbound Peterbilt dump
truck-trailer that was towing a small excavator, California Highway Patrol Officer Andrew Barclay said.
The Honda driver drifted off the right side of the road on a left curve, tried to turn back into the lane and crossed the center of the road into the path of the big-rig, Barclay said.
