Nitrous Oxide, Pills Found In Petaluma Man's Car After Crash: PD
Police allege the Petaluma man driving under the influence of drugs when he crashed into a parked car.

PETALUMA, CA — Police arrested a man on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into a parked vehicle Saturday in Petaluma, police said. Scott Buchan, 42, of Petaluma, was arrested after officers responded at 11:18 a.m. to Petaluma Boulevard North and Magnolia Avenue to investigate a report of a person possibly driving under the influence.
Police said when officers arrived Buchan had pulled his vehicle into the Petaluma Village Premium Outlets mall and allegedly crashed into a parked vehicle.
Officers located Buchan with his vehicle. They alleged that Buchan showed signs of being under the influence of a drug, police said.

Police alleged that he exhibited signs of impairment during field sobriety tests and that officers found prescription drugs and nitrous oxide canisters in his vehicle.
Buchan was also arrested for violating probation, driving with a suspended license and possessing drugs. He was taken to the county jail.
