North Bay High Speed Chase: Teen In Lexus Accused Of Thwarting Cops
A teen driving more than 100-miles per hour led police into rural areas near Healdsburg: HPD

PETALUMA, CA — A 17-year-old in a white Lexus who led Healdsburg police on a high-speed chase on Sunday was arrested Tuesday morning in Cloverdale, according to the Healdsburg Police Department.
Healdsburg Police spotted the teen just before 2 a.m. Sunday speeding on Highway 101.
They tried to stop the driver, who slowed the car as he drove into Healdsburg, but then immediately fled, police said.

The chase led officers into the unincorporated areas north of Healdsburg, where the driver reached speeds more than 100 miles per hour on rural roadways. Police stopped the pursuit for public safety reasons.
Officers were able to identify the vehicle and a possible suspect.

On Monday, police found the vehicle in the area of Cloverdale and a 17-year-old seated inside it.
The teen attempted to walk away from officers before being taken into custody, police said.
Police impounded the vehicle based on a court-issued warrant related to reckless driving and evading a peace officer, police said.
