Our Lady Of Assumption Parade Planned Sunday In Petaluma

Traffic will be temporarily diverted during the parade, police said.

PETALUMA, CA — A small parade is scheduled for Sunday in Petaluma, the Petaluma Police Department said.

Our Lady Of Assumption Parade will take place from 10 a.m. until noon. The parade begins at Wickersham Park at 5th and G streets and ends at St. Vincent’s Church at 6th Street and Western Avenue.

The parade will head northbound on 5th Street, westbound on B Street, then northbound on 6th Street, according to Petaluma police Sgt. Walt Spiller.

Traffic will be temporarily diverted during the parade. The Petaluma Police Department will be on hand, working to reasonably accommodate any traffic-related issues, the sergeant said.

"The Petaluma Police Department appreciates the public’s patience and understanding," Spiller said, "and requests those who cannot avoid the area to allow plenty of time for travel."
