Penngrove Seller Lists 2 Golden Gate Bridge Trusses

PENNGROVE, CA — For neighbors with a few thousand dollars burning a hole in their pocket, a little piece of history could be yours. A Penngrove woman recently listed two large trusses from the Golden Gate Bridge, which the seller said were obtained during a retrofitting project on the Fort Point side of the structure.

The Facebook Marketplace listing, shared in a 707 group late last month, still showed the steel supports as "in stock" on Monday afternoon with a $12,000 price tag.

The trusses come as a package deal, with the longer measuring 37 feet long and the shorter measuring 17 feet long. Both are coated in the Golden Gate's iconic "international orange" paint. On top of the three photos shared in the listing, the seller said more images were available of the items before and after their removal, along with proper documentation.
