Petaluma DUI Checkpoint Results Released

Two checkpoints were used during the Friday night action, resulting in 5 citations and 2 arrests, including a 60-year-old woman with priors.

PETALUMA - Petaluma Police have released the results of DUI checkpoints they conducted late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Police say five citations were made at the first of two checkpoints in the northbound lanes of Lakeville St. between East Ct. and Wilson St., where 692 drivers were checked between 6:15 p.m. and 9 p.m.

According to police, one of the citations was issued to 60-year-old Debra Dickerson from Alameda who - after two previous DUI convictions - did not have a court-mandated Electronic Interlock Device in her 2003 Honda, requiring her to provide a breath sample before the car would start. Her vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
