PETALUMA - You might want to find a designated driver in Petaluma Friday night if you feel like heading out to tip a few.
Petaluma Police have announced they will be conducting a DUI/Drivers License Checkpoint this Friday, March 11 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.
The location is unannounced.

Officers say they will be looking for signs of alcohol and/or drug impairment, and checking drivers for proper licensing.
For those who want to drink, police recommend the California Office of Traffic Safety DDVIP (Designated Driver VIP) mobile app, available for free download on iOS and Android devices.

The app allows users to “Map a Spot” with their current location to find DDVIP partnering establishments in their area or a “List of Spots” to search all participating bars and restaurants throughout California, according to officials.
Through the app, users can also order a sober ride on a single screen from Uber, Lyft or Curb.
