Petaluma Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Burglary, Controlled Substance In His Shoe
Petaluma police said they charged a man suspected of breaking into a car, who told officers he had a controlled substance in his shoe.
PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police arrested and charged a man suspected of breaking into a car in a Petaluma shopping center overnight Thursday, who then alerted officers to the drugs in his shoe.
Officers were dispatched to Plaza North Shopping Center at about 1 a.m. after a private security company reported someone breaking the front window of a vehicle in the parking lot.
There they found Manuel Arrenguin, 38, of Petaluma, removing items from inside the vehicle, according to the Petaluma Police Department.

Police said Arrenguin told officers that he had cocaine in his shoe before he was booked into the Sonoma County Jail and charged with vehicle burglary and possessing a controlled substance.
