Petaluma Police Chase Down, Bust Man Suspected Of Electronics Store Burglary
Petaluma police have arrested a man suspected of stealing electronics from an AT&T store and resisting arrest over the weekend.

PETALUMA, CA -- Petaluma police officers arrested a man they suspect of stealing electronics from an AT&T store and resisting arrest Sunday morning.
At about 11:40 a.m. on May 21, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of North McDowell Boulevard on a report that someone had just taken something from a store.
At about the same time, a bystander flagged down a passing officer and reported seeing a man walking through a nearby motel parking lot with boxed up electronics, according to police.

Motel staff also told the officer that a man had just run into an open motel room.
When the suspect spotted the officer, he allegedly fled back into shopping center across the street from the motel.

The man ran though one store, leaving though a rear emergency exit, and headed into a nearby Kohl's store, according to police.
The suspect briefly eluded several officers, who were eventually able to take him into custody inside the Kohl's, but only after one officer sustained minor injuries.
Officers arrested Kyle Summers on suspicion of two counts of retail burglary and one count of resisting arrest, according to police.
Officers say they were also able to recover all the merchandise.
Summers was recently released from custody after posting bail on a felony vandalism charge, according to police.
