Petaluma Police Seek Alleged Generator Thief
Petaluma Police would like your help in identifying a man who allegedly loaded a generator into a shopping cart at a local store and fled.

PETALUMA - Petaluma Police would like your help in identifying a man who allegedly loaded a generator into a shopping cart at a local store and fled through the emergency exit without paying.
According to police, officers were dispatched on Friday night, April 22 to Friedman’s Home Improvement Center at 429 N. McDowell Blvd. for a reported theft of merchandise.
Petaluma police say an employee of the store reported that the suspect entered the store, loaded a gas powered generator into a shopping cart, and left through a fire exit door without paying for the item.

Opening the exit door triggered an audible alarm. Police say employees investigated, but found nothing suspicious.
However, the store video surveillance camera captured an image of the suspect and the theft.

Petaluma police are looking for a white man approximately 25 to 30 years old. They believe he is approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall, and weighs about 220 pounds. The suspect had a dark-colored mustache and beard.
Police say the man was last seen wearing a blue baseball type hat, a blue and white plaid button up shirt with a black shirt underneath, khaki colored pants and light grey shoes.
