Petaluma Woman Heads Back To Jail After DUI Crash

Petaluma police have arrested a 26-year-old woman who twice crashed an SUV she was driving just five hours after being released from jail.

PETALUMA - Petaluma police say they have arrested a 26-year-old woman on a DUI charge who twice crashed an SUV she was driving just five hours after being released from jail for public intoxication.

Police say Petaluma resident Charlee Langley-Rader was arrested at 2:08 a.m. Tuesday morning after officers responding to reports of a crash found her inside an SUV that had rolled over after striking a parked vehicle on Madison Street at Payran Street.

Earlier, police received a call from a Holly Lane homeowner reporting an SUV struck the resident's fence, then fled the scene.

When questioning Langley-Rader at the Madison Street crash site, Petaluma police say they smelled alcohol on the woman's breath.

Investigators say Langley-Rader was transported to Petaluma Valley Hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the accident.

At the hospital, police say Langley-Rader was given a Preliminary Alcohol Screening Test that showed her blood alcohol level to be .19. She was arrested for DUI and fleeing the scene of an accident.

Charlee Langley-Rader was later transported to Sonoma County Jail and booked.

Petaluma police say Langley-Rader had posted bail at 9 p.m. Monday night, just five hours prior to the SUV crashes.

She'd been arrested at 10 a.m. on Monday in Petaluma for public intoxication, and spent the day in the Sonoma County Jail.
