PETALUMA -One of the most popular events in the North Bay is this weekend as the 35th Annual Butter & Eggs Days Parade marches into downtown Petaluma on Saturday, April 23.
Thousands come out to enjoy the sunshine, food, parade, music and infamous "Cuties Little Chicks" contest, where parents dress five-year-olds and under in yellow-feathered costumes, add props, then put them on display for the coveted title and lifelong embarrassing photos. The event which usually draws 70 contestants is held using a barn structure on a flatbed truck hours before the start of the parade on Saturday.
