PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police Friday arrested three people suspected of stealing about $1,500 worth of football jerseys from Dick's Sporting Goods in Petaluma in a string of similar thefts, police said.
The case began when a store employee reported that three people had stolen the jerseys around 10:30 a.m., fleeing to a silver Ford Expedition, according to police. Around 11:51 a.m., officers saw the suspect vehicle heading southbound on US 101 near Old Redwood Highway, police said. The suspect vehicle took the East Washington Street exit, and officers made a felony stop, according to police.
