Police Say Victim In Stabbing Reported 'Disturbance', Then Attack
A man called police early Tuesday to report a disturbance and then said he had been stabbed.
PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police arrested a woman overnight on suspicion of stabbing a man in the neck.
The man called police at about 2:04 a.m. on Tuesday to report a disturbance in the 400 block of Lindberg Circle in Petaluma. He then told the dispatcher that he had been stabbed in the neck, according to a statement by the Petaluma Police Department.
Police arrested Catherine Vasquez, 28, of San Francisco. Police accused her of stabbing the man in the neck with a knife during an argument and charged her with domestic violence, assault with a deadly weapon, and attempted murder.

The man was taken to a hospital. His wound was not life-threatening, according to police.
Officers are continuing to investigate this incident, including the circumstances leading up to the altercation, police said.
