Shoe Washes Ashore at Regional Park -- with a Foot Inside It
Doran Regional Park rangers discovered a severed human foot in a shoe on Tuesday afternoon in the park's Cypress day use area.

NORTH BAY, CA -- Rangers at a regional park in Sonoma County made a horrifying discovery this week: a person's shoe with a foot still inside.
The Sonoma County coroner's office is investigating the foot and shoe, which washed ashore at Doran Regional Park south of Bodega Bay on the afternoon of Tuesday, Feb. 7.
The park rangers discovered the foot around 1:45 p.m. in the Cypress day use area of the popular 127-acre park, Sonoma County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

Doran Regional Park is a regional park south of Bodega Bay that's maintained by the Sonoma County Regional Parks Department.
It covers an area of 127 acres on the sand spit separating Bodega Harbor from Bodega Bay. Among its features are a public beach with boat launch, picnic areas and camping.
