Sign-Ups Now Open for Petaluma PD Junior Officer Police Camp
The Junior Police Camp is a free 4-day camp that's an opportunity for kids to learn more about the jobs performed by police personnel.

PETALUMA, CA -- If you know a youngster who's interested in police work, they'll soon have a rare opportunity to see the inner workings of a police department up close and personal.
The Petaluma Police Department's hosting its ninth Junior Officer Police Camp from March 20 through March 23, during Spring Break. The camp is from 1 pm to 5 pm each day and is open to kids in grades three through six.
The Junior Police Camp is a free four day camp and is an opportunity for the youth of Petaluma to learn more about the jobs performed by civilian and sworn personnel of the Petaluma Police Department. Instructors from the Police Department will demonstrate some of the tools used and explain how each job is done, while demonstrating and communicating with the kids important life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and a winning attitude.

The PPD says participants not only must be interested in learning more about the Petaluma Police Department, but must also be willing to be leaders, with a winning attitude, a willingness to be a team player.
