Sonoma County Braces For Triple-Digit Temps

Some parts of the region will go under an excessive heat watch this weekend, the National Weather Service said.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for most of the Bay Area including Sonoma County for the holiday weekend.

Most of the region was expected to go under a heat advisory earlier this week, but the NWS upgraded the advisory to an excessive heat watch as forecasts called for hotter temperatures.

“This means conditions are particularly dangerous to heat-sensitive groups and those without access to adequate cooling and hydration,” the NWS said.
