Sonoma County Man Jailed For Obscene Matter: Police
Detectives arrested the 27-year-old man as he drove into Petaluma for work.

PETALUMA, CA — The Petaluma Police Department announced the arrest of a Santa Rosa man in connection with an ongoing investigation into obscene images of children.
Detectives with the Petaluma Police Department arrested Nicholas Schlager, 27, Thursday, as he was driving into Petaluma for work.
"Detectives then executed a search warrant at the home of Schlager stemming from a tip related to illegal, obscene, digital images/data," police said. "Pursuant to the search warrant, electronic devices belonging to Schlager were located and seized."

Schlager was booked into Sonoma County jail on suspicion of the felony charge of "possessing images/data, etc., of persons under 18 years of age engaging in or simulating sexual conduct," police said.
Records showed that he was still in custody Friday. His bail was set at $30,000, and he was awaiting a court appearance scheduled for Monday morning.
