Sonoma County Veterans Service Office To Increase Drop-In Hours

The new hours take effect Jan. 14.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The Sonoma County Veterans Service Office is planning on increasing its drop-in office hours in the new year. Beginning Jan. 14, the office will be open Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Phone hours will be available Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The office is located at 3725 Westwind Blvd. in Santa Rosa.

Clients at the VSO will no longer need appointments to determine their eligibility and file claims for benefits such as health care, funds for education or getting a veterans identification card that gives them access to discounts and special programs.

On Tuesdays, the VSO will take appointments for benefit claim counseling only at the Human Services South County Center at 5350 Old Redwood Highway N., Suite 100 in Petaluma.
