Strike At Sonoma County Hospitals
Staff who maintain critical facilities and equipment at two Sonoma County hospitals called a strike this week.
PETALUMA, CA — Staff in charge of maintaining critical facilities and equipment at Petaluma Valley and Santa Rosa Memorial hospitals are on strike.
The strike began Monday among workers seeking better pay in contract negotiations, according to The Press Democrat.
International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 39, said the wage package being offered by Providence would leave workers’ wages once again trailing their counterparts at nearby hospitals, according to reports.
