PETALUMA, CA — Patch reader Jeanne Johnson sent this photo of a song sparrow at Ellis Creek near Shollenberger Park in Petaluma.

Jeanne captured the photo Saturday, April 27, while on a PWA (Petaluma Wetlands Alliance) docent-led walk.

"The trails meander through the wetlands with views of the Petaluma River. Birds are abundant," Jeanne wrote in an email to Patch.
