PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police cited a 14-year-old riding an electric motorcycle on East D Street after he led them on a chase to the SMART parking lot on Lakeville Street, according to the Petaluma Police Department.

Officers spotted the teen Saturday on the motorcycle. When the teen spotted them, he made an illegal U-turn over a raised median and sped into the SMART parking lot, police said.

The teen jumped a curb before yielding to police, according to police.

Officers cited the teen for reckless driving and driving a motorcycle without a license, proof of insurance, registration, or helmet.
