Unlicensed Sonoma County Landscaper Pleads Guilty To 11 Charges
The 31-year-old was arrested in 2018 over seven complaints alleging he took nearly $30,000 and provided minimal landscaping work.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — An unlicensed landscaper pleaded guilty last week in Sonoma County
Superior Court to contracting without a license and diversion of constructions funds, according to the California Contractors State License Board.
Tony Van Dang, 31, of Santa Rosa, was arrested in 2018 after seven complaints alleging he took nearly $30,000 and provided minimal landscaping work before he abandoned the jobs, CSLB spokeswoman Natalie Watmore said in a news release.
Dang pleaded guilty to four felony and three misdemeanor counts of diversion of construction of construction funds, three misdemeanor counts of contracting without a license and one count of illegal advertising, Watmore said.

He was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $1,500 per month for 10 months and will be granted probation if he makes all of the payments, according to Watmore.
The complaint against Dang was filed in February.
