Vandalism Suspect Causes $2K In Damages, Petaluma Police Say

A 33-year-old man is accused of vandalizing a Petaluma fire station, a city bus and at least one business, according to police.

PETALUMA, CA — A 33-year-old man was arrested Friday on suspicion of vandalism to a city bus and a fire station in Petaluma. Police received a call at 8:45 a.m. from a witness stating that a
suspect had thrown a chunk of concrete at Petaluma Fire Station 2 on North McDowell Boulevard at Corona Road.

A second caller reported a matching suspect throwing a rock at a passing bus further south on North McDowell, causing a window to break.

A third caller reported a suspect had thrown a rock through a window at a business on North McDowell.

Police located and arrested Christopher M. Nakamura, a transient, for felony vandalism.

No one was injured in any of the incidents and the estimated damage was calculated to be $2,000.
