The warm weather is finally here! The only question is how to take advantage of it. Here are some ideas for activities June 20-26.

Tuesday, June 21

CRAB COVE FAMILY SUMMER SOLSTICE FUN
Walk the Bay trail at sunset and mark the change of seasons with games songs and stories. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Families are invited to enjoy the longest day of the year at the Tilden Nature Area with a 1.5-mile walk, campfire and children's crafts. Bring a snack and a story, poem or song to share.

The trio plays Gypsy tango music with a French accent in the University of California Berkeley Botanical Garden's Redwood Grove. Admission includes entrance to the garden. Bring your own picnic and drinks.

C.S.I. OPEN LAB: BIKE IT!
Bring your two-wheeler and gear up for Chabot Space & Science Center's bike-fest. Joined by community bike shops and groups, Chabot is celebrating spokes with hands-on clinics and demos, conversations with bike experts and enthusiasts, guidance on alternate transportation, and bike hikes in the redwoods.

BERKELEY JUNETEENTH FESTIVAL
The annual Juneteenth celebration includes a health fair, historical exhibit and live music, from African drumming and jazz to blues, neo-soul, gospel and reggae.

ALAMEDA COUNTY FAIR
The fair includes live music, horse racing, eclectic food, carnival rides and general free-hearted joy.  
Where: 4501 Pleasanton Ave., Pleasanton
When: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; from June 22 to July 10.
How much: Ages 13-61 – $8 pre-fair and $10 at the gate; seniors (62 and older) – $6 pre-fair and $8 at the gate; children 6-12 – $4 pre-fair and $6 at the gate; children under 6 – free.

CHILDREN'S FAIRYLAND
This fairytale theme park features more than 30 colorful fantasy sets, designed especially for children ages 10 and under. Attractions include the Old West Junction, puppet shows, an arts and crafts center and the "Animal of the Day" learning lab.
Where: 699 Bellevue Ave., Oakland (at Lake Merritt)
When: Monday through Friday 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Labor Day
