Pet of the Week: Lovebug
Lovebug – who is "very talented and ready for stardom" – seeks a quiet, safe home. She was abandoned on the street two months ago and has been at the Berkeley Animal Shelter (which serves as Piedmont's de facto animal shelter) since.

By Euna Park
She was abandoned on The Alameda and was brought to the Berkeley Animal Shelter two months ago.
Lovebug is two years old, timid and likes being approached slowly. But once she is comfortable, she is snuggly, cuddly and will roll over for stomach rubs.
Lovebug loves to sit on laps and enjoys a gentle brushing. She gets along well with other cats.
The Berkeley Animal Shelter houses stray or abandoned domestic animals from Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville, and Piedmont and provides adoption services to find them a new home. Anyone can adopt a pet. Here's how!
1. Bring a valid form of identification
2. Bring proof that your home can house a pet (either a lease agreement allowing pets or proof of home ownership)
3. Bring the application fee ($125 for dogs, $100 for cats, $25 for rabbits, birds and exotics, and $10 for rodents)
4. Fill out an application at the shelter.
The Berkeley Animal Shelter is located at 1 Bolivar Drive and is open seven days a week (Mon-Sat: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wed: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sun: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
