UPDATE: Bishop O'Dowd Narrowly Defeats PHS Women's Soccer Team in NCS Championship Game

The Highlanders went head-to-head with Bishop O'Dowd High School at 2 p.m. in Dublin and held O'Dowd scoreless through the regulation game and 20 minutes of overtime.

The Piedmont High School women's soccer team (16-5-3) lost 3-2 to Bishop O'Dowd High School of Oakland (25-2-0) Saturday for the North Coast Section (NCS) Division II championship.

According to a Saturday afternoon report on Inside Bay Area, O'Dowd won on penalty kicks after a scoreless regulation game and 20 minutes of sudden-death overtime. 

PHS defeated Campolindo High Scool on Wednesday to qualify for the finals.

The game was at 2 p.m. at Dublin High School, 8151 Village Parkway, Dublin.
