Piedmont Police Seeking Homeowners with Video Surveillance Cameras

Police are building a database of available video surveillance to help with follow-up on criminal investigations.

From a Piedmont Police Depart announcement:

The Piedmont Police Department is seeking information on the addresses of residents who maintain personal video surveillance of their home and the adjacent street and sidewalk.

This information will be kept in a confidential file at the police department, accessible by sworn personnel only, specifically for follow-up on criminal investigations.

If a citizen is willing to share their information, please have them email Sgt. Catherine Carr at ccarr@piedmontpd.org or call 510-420-3000 and leave a voicemail.

Please include the residence address, the contact person (or persons). including best phone numbers and email addresses if appropriate.

The information will be added to the confidential database.
